Since 1983 the Foundation, created by the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany, offered scholarships to British and German students who were planning to study in the other's country. It is managed independently of BCCG.
As an example, through generous donations by business and many individuals, the Foundation was able to assist altogether seven students in 2019
(including one Anglo-German Club Award Winner
) in reaching their goal of attaining academic know-how and general life experience in the other country.
Many thanks to our long standing supporter Anglo-German Club
, Hamburg and the BCCG member Lloyd's Versicherer London
who once again supported the BCCG Foundation with a special contribution in 2019. We are very grateful for this generosity of our supporters as well as for all large and small donations we received.
Hereafter please find the BCCG Foundation Award winners of the academic year 2019/2020 reporting about their experiences abroad:
Congratulations on your election!
Through this exchange of talented, ambitious, young students, the Foundation makes a significant contribution for the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany, which sets out to intensify the already very intensive business and cultural activities between the United Kingdom and Germany.
Students' reports written on completion of their stay abroad, repeatedly emphasize that in addition to the valuable academic know-how acquired, new friendships and social contacts play an extremely important role in what at first seems a very foreign environment.

Please take part in our 2020 annual fundraising campaign for the BCCG Foundation, to support British and German students. We are grateful for any amount, large or small.
As an enterprise looking for qualified young academics, as parents of grown-ups knowing about the financial challenges concerning education, as mature persons who enjoy investing in the young generation we are grateful for your support. Donations for the BCCG Foundation are tax refundable.
